Goodbye

She spent the day giving me tearful hugs, telling me she loved me and that I was her Mommy.  She wanted to take me back to Belarus in her backpack.  In the end, when it was time to go, she grabbed on to me and sobbed.  It was hard to make her go!

I took one last picture of the girls together.

And then I watched my little girl walk all by herself into security.  She still had tears in her eyes as she went.

Nobody was very happy.  As we walked away from security Dani looked at me and said, "Sveta was crying hard Mommy, it made me blink a lot!"

I will miss those beautiful blue eyes!

But as I said in my last post a year goes so quickly and soon enough she will be back!

I forgot my purse when I left the house this morning.  I am so lucky that Bridget showed up at the airport to say goodbye to Sveta, so I could pay for parking, or I might have been stuck there.
