My Birthday Morning

Well it's been a wonderful day so far. David woke me up at midnight to give me my present. It was a Lilliput Lane miniature of Buckingham Palace. He gave me the Edinburgh Castle one at Christmas because we have been there several times, but I have never been to Buckingham Palace. Apparently, David will be taking me in August!

This morning when I woke up the kids had lined up all my presents from them and the family and were waiting for me to come and open them. I got two new outfits and a shirt, also some presents still on the way. They each made me a little card.

Then my friend Petra met me at school and her little girls had flowers and a pen shaped like Bambi. Petra asked me to stop round for tea this morning and as my house was still clean from the kids last night I said I would. when I got there she had made me a chocolate cake with strawberries and whipped cream on it. A few minutes after I got there, all my friends showed up with gifts. I got lotion and a beautiful wind chime and they all pitched in to get me a hot rock massage.

When I got home, David's Mom and Dad called to wish me a Happy day. It meant more to me because they are headed to the funeral of their niece of 25, who died in a car crash on Friday. I'm sure their minds are elsewhere today.

Now I am home and Brittany will have a flute lesson in a few minutes. We have a babysitter on Saturday and will go out for Tepanyaki. Not sure what else this day has in store for me, but so far it has been really good!
